When students succeed, America succeeds. When SFSU College Dems succeed, the world succeeds!
Our commitment to action transcends Democratic party fealty and extends to all issues that are of concern to San Francisco State University residents and residents of the Bay – and by extension – California as a whole. Due to this, our political activities are not restricted to just campaigns and other forms of partisan involvement. We are dedicated to expanding voting rights, the social safety net, and participation in society to as many residents as we possibly can. As college Democrats we are proud to include empathy and compassion into our ideals. As college students in the world class city of San Francisco, we are proud to consider those values intrinsic to nearly every action we take in our lives.
Join the action Monday evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Rosa Parks E in the Lower Conference Level at the Cesar Chavez Student Center (1650 Holloway Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94132)
Our meetings are often very packed whether its a presentation on climate change actions, a film on female representation in the work place, or the various interview and subsequent endorsement meetings – all of which allow students from multitudes of ideological backgrounds to have their specific needs met. Our meetings also prove to be a perfect networking forum as a result of local elected officials personally visiting the club which may lead to internship or employment opportunities. Meetings are crucial since most of our work and off campus campaign events are announced at our meetings.
Come to our meetings and we’ll see you there! Here’s a glimpse of some of our meetings:
We are often out in the quad or in Malcolm X Plaza of the Cesar Chavez Student Center several days a week, several weeks a month around noon. Here is a look at our tabling activities:
